The 144th Session of WHO’s Executive Board was held in Geneva from the 24th of January to the 1st of February 2019. A delegation from IBFAN attended the meeting and delivered statements on several agenda items. In fact, even though 2019 is not a reporting year for maternal, infant and young child nutrition, nor for women’s and children’s health, there are still important areas of interest for IBFAN, such as emergency preparedness and response, climate change, NCDs or WHO’s Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors. Optimal IYCF practices, implementation of the Code and WHA Resolutions with their provisions on conflicts of interest touch all these areas and IBFAN delivered the following statements:
- Item 5.5 Universal Health Coverage – Primary Health Care
- Item 5.6 Health, Environment and Climate Change
- Item 5.8 Anti-Microbial Resistance
- Item 5.8 Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases
- Item 7.3 Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors
