Laureates from the Right Livelihood Foundation will be in Europe. The conference will consist of two elements: an internal discussion among the Laureates (on 29th and 30th of October and 1st November), and a number of public thematic events in Geneva on 31st October. The internal component of the programme is meant to be a space for Laureates to get to know each other and their past and present work, and provide an opportunity for Laureates to share lessons learnt and seek the input of colleagues on specific issues or campaigns.

It will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 28th October to 1st November, 2016.

What is the The Right Livelihood Award (RLA)? It was established in 1980 to “honour and support courageous people solving global problems”. It has become widely known as the ‘Alternative Nobel Prize’ and there are now 178 Laureates from 70 countries.
