2020 Status Report on the National Implementation of the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes worldwide.

The World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) launched the 2020 Status Report that highlights which countries have implemented measures required by the International Code (Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and subsequent WHA Resolutions read here). 

Given the important role of health workers in protecting pregnant women, mothers and their infants from inappropriate promotion of breastmilk substitutes, the 2020 report provides an extensive analysis of legal measures taken to prohibit promotion to health workers and in health facilities. 2020 Status Report – publication du Rapport de l’état des lieux de l’implémentation nationale du Code international de commercialisation des substituts du lait maternel à travers le monde.

L’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS), l’UNICEF et l’ International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) ont publé le 2020 Status Report qui met en évidence quels sont les pays qui ont intégré dans leur législation des mesures exigées par le Code international et les Résolutions subséquentes WHA Resolutions read here). 

Etant donné le rôle clé du personnel de santé dans la protection des femmes enceintes, des mères et de leurs enfants face à la promotion inappropriée de substituts du lait maternel, le Rapport 2020 fournit une analyse conséquente des mesures légales adoptées par les différents pays afin d’interdire la promotion de ces produits à l’adresse du personnel de santé et des établissement de soins.
