2020 Status Report on the National Implementation of the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes worldwide.
The World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) launched the 2020 Status Report that highlights which countries have implemented measures required by the International Code (Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and subsequent WHA Resolutions read here).
Given the key role of health workers in protecting pregnant women, mothers and their infants from inappropriate promotion of breastmilk substitutes, the 2020 report provides a consistent and extensive analysis of legal measuresadopted by different countries to prohibit the promotion of these products to health workers and in health facilities.
